Tashkent, November 2024 — Global mineral equipment manufacturer Crusherblocks announced that its 250 tons/hour modular sand and gravel processing plant in Navoi, Uzbekistan, has been officially delivered, marking the first production line in Central Asia to adopt the air-screen + dry sand making technology. The factory targets Uzbekistan's "New Uzbekistan 2022-2026" infrastructure plan, providing ASTM C33 standard sand for industries such as highways and photovoltaic glass, with an annual production capacity exceeding 800,000 tons.
Environmental Adaptability Design:
Desert Climate Challenge: Equipped with high-temperature-resistant and wear-resistant steel plates (HB400 grade) and an air cooling system, ensuring continuous operation under extreme temperatures of 50°C.
Dust Zero Emission: Integrated pulse dust collector (filtration efficiency ≥99.8%) and fog cannon dust suppression device, meeting the requirements of the Republic of Uzbekistan's "Industrial Dust Emission Limits" (Presidential Decree PQ-4869, 2023).
Winter Mode: Screw conveyors are equipped with electric heat tracing layers to prevent freezing and agglomeration of materials at -20°C.
Technological Breakthrough:
Air Separation Replaces Water Washing
Utilizing the arid climate characteristics of Uzbekistan, a double-chamber impact sand making machine and a three-channel air classification tower are used to stabilize the sand's powder content below 2%, with no water resource consumption.
By adjusting the wind speed (12-18m/s), multi-specification sand production of 0.08-5mm is achieved simultaneously, filling the gap for local photovoltaic glass sand (0.5-0.7mm).
Mobile crushing and screening
Modular design supports rapid deployment to mining sites within 72 hours, suitable for Uzbekistan's scattered limestone and quartzite mining points.
Equipped with GPS positioning and remote diagnosis systems to address maintenance challenges in remote areas.
Project implementation:
China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway construction: Supplying machine-made sand (crushing value ≤20%, MB value ≤1.4) for railway sleeper use, replacing expensive imported river sand.
Tashkent New City Photovoltaic Industrial Park: Providing low-iron content (Fe₂O₃ ≤0.015%) quartz sand for ultra-white glass furnaces, breaking the reliance on the Russian supply chain.
Policy Driven:
The Uzbekistan government has banned the export of raw sand since 2023 and requires all infrastructure projects to use locally processed aggregates. Crusherblocks has partnered with UzBuild Materials, a major Uzbek construction materials company, to provide services under the EPC+O model (Engineering-Procurement-Construction-Operation), expecting a payback period of 2.8 years for customers.
